Questions about
metal unfinished shell.

Is a metal cabin shell harder to insulate than wood?

Not really. Spray foam insulation works great with metal panels and provides an excellent moisture barrier. Rigid board insulation is another option. The metal shell actually creates a very tight envelope once insulated.

Does a metal cabin get hot in summer?

Without insulation, any metal building gets warm in direct sun. With proper insulation (spray foam or rigid board), metal cabins stay comfortable. Many customers also add a reflective barrier under the roof for extra heat resistance.

Can I add a porch to a metal cabin shell?

If you want a porch, check out our metal porch cabin model — it comes with the porch already built in. Adding a porch to a standard shell after delivery is possible but more expensive than buying the porch model upfront.

What's the exterior maintenance like?

Almost none. The metal panels are factory-finished and resist fading and rust. An occasional rinse with a hose keeps them looking good. You won't need to paint, stain, or replace siding.
